Pay cards are prepaid wage cards which enable the employee to use their salaries without the necessity to have a bank account. Their popularity has risen because they are easy to use, the wages are readily available, and they are cheaper than the paper checks. Pay cards can be used by the employees through ATM, retail outlet, and online. The advantage of this to the employers is that the cost of payroll administration is minimized and the number of mistakes made when using manual payments is minimized. Part-time, seasonal, or gig workers that need pay cards are particularly advantageous as they are flexible, secure and can get their pay more quickly, without violating the payroll rules.
